Body language makes it easier adapting to a new environment.

Body language and a few small tricks can help make a great first impression, and captivate the people you meet. Our body language is constantly sending signals to those around us. From your posture and body position and its signs depends the solutions, which suddenly within seconds people form about you, and it also depends even what you think about yourself.

Stand straight, but relax. Proper posture is healthy for your back! And it says that you are self confident. When you are sitting, keep your back straight, but not strained. Sitting straight at the table, immediately you will feel quite high. Keep your back straight, but as far as possible, relax. When you are standing or seated, your abdominal muscles, back and center should never be flabby or fall out. Abdominal muscles and the center always hold a bit tense. This is not only reflected in your posture, but also helps to move gracefully. Keep your feet about hip-width apart. Your foot position says a lot. This is not an exact science, but the feet closer to one another means an uncertainty, for the wider posture means self confidence.

Enter the living room well disposed. The moment you enter a room, many eyes are naturally deviate to you. You are the new man, so be sure to use the moment.

Smile like you feel happy to be where you are. Regardless of how you feel, enter the room with a smile. Smile as if you really liked what you see. Do not overdo it, do not laugh out loud. Make eyes contact. Look to people’s eyes, and if someone responds to your glance, smile to him. Make other people feel that with yourself you brought positive energy.

    • Interesting findings right there. It's true that our postures say a lot about us. We may not know it but it's a fact. Like when you go to a meeting people will be looking at the way you seat or stand, they will watch every move you make, they will look at the way you are interacting with others. So all that you have said makes a lot of sense. Like me for example whenever I go to a new place I i always try to keep a smile on my face no matter what, not unless it's a sad situation. I will always greet people with a firm handshake. For myself i try to keep a good posture as in the way I stand and the way I sit. I like to cross my legs especially when am home, that i can do do but not in the midst of visitors and strangers. If i I have to cross my legs I do it from the bottom at my ankles that way i don't have to look disrespectful to anyone. I guess it's also a sign of confidence if am not wrong. Eye contact is something that we were taught way back in school, and i have carried it all the way through my adult life and the benefits are amazing. It exudes so much confidence and with that people tend to take you seriously. Just to add something good posture is not only about people have confidence in you it also saves you a lot of problems with your health. Walking straight, sitting upright and standing upright saves your disc and that way you can save yourself from persisting backache.
