My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me (John 10:27) Hearing God’s voice–The great dilemma for the believer. There are many voices bidding to distract and sidetrack us from God’s purpose for our lives. How do we sort thru these things and learn how to hear God’s voice? By spending time in prayer and meditation on the word. God’s word is speaking to us 24/7. God’s word is his voice. As we draw nigh to God, he will draw near to you. A case in point, I have been married 37 years to my wife. When the phone rings, I know her voice. Spending years with her has trained me to recognize her voice. The same with the Father–When you meditate on the word and spend time in prayer, you learn to listen to his voice. One thing that I have learned as a believer is to pray the word. The word of God is alive. My advice to you is to meditate and pray Col 1:9-11. As you do so everyday and at every opportunity, you will develop yourself to hear God’s voice. God bless.
